Brad Wilson, a graduate in art history and studio art, found his true passion in photography after exploring various creative avenues.
In 2010, he embarked on the “Affinity” series, a venture into capturing the essence of exotic animals through his lens. This project not only demonstrates his technical prowess in lighting and composition but also showcases his talent in eliciting the unique expressions of his subjects.
Working with iconic and visually striking animals, Wilson navigates the intricacies of photographing creatures ranging from small birds, which tend to be cooperative, to the more unpredictable big cats, all while seeking those fleeting moments of connection amidst the controlled chaos of the studio.
Presently based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Wilson balances his time between home remodeling projects and outdoor pursuits while continually pushing the boundaries of his craft. He is currently working on “Hybrid Life,” a series that merges traditional and digital photography techniques, promising further innovation in his field.
